Emilia Adama Soloku Women’s Empowerment Agricultural Development Company Ltd, Is a women-led agri-business initiative in Sierra Leone, West Africa in 2016. This organisation/company focuses on uplifting local/rural women through agriculture by providing trainings, resources and market access to enhance their livelihoods. Since its inception, it has played a significant role in promoting women’s involvement in the Agricultural sector, which is vital for Sierra Leone’s economy.
This company’s efforts aligns with wider objectives/initiatives which are solely aimed at building up/developing women in agriculture. For instance,the FAO has conducted training programs to improve women’s cooperative management skills, enhancing their production capacity and promoting more income.
